Technical description:
With switchX, the online-based TelevisionOnlineProductionSystem, locations from all over the world are connected via internet and enabled to record a program in high audio and video quality.
Every participant needs a PC (dual core, 2x1,86 GHz, Windows XP with SP 2 or Vista), a digital video camera, e.g. DV Cam (HDV/DV) or high quality webcam, a high quality microphone and earphones or headset and internet access with at least 384 kBits/s upload.
The switchXsystem consists of a H.323 based conferencing system,
controlled by a central mcu (multipoint conferencing unit).
